Enable AD user with external email address Exchange 2016

On the Exchange server Open the Exchange powershell.

Run the following command (Change what is needed)

Enable-MailUser -Identity John -ExternalEmailAddress john@contoso.com

AD Attribute editor field = proxyAdress
